 Pictured to the left here today is the Christmas cake that was commissioned for the Poppy Appeal auction in Jersey. I was asked by a local client if I would create a Christmas cake with a poppy theme as a gift for the special action and I was delighted to oblige. Jersey has been a sea of poppy wearing people this week with a special visit from a group of Chelsea Pensioners and it’s been wonderful to have them over here.  This cake is a rich boozy fruit cake which has been matured for nearly a year, hand iced and then decorated with handpainted Christmas baubles and a bouquet of handmade sugar poppies. I hope it raises lots of money for a wonderful cause.
